Privacy Policy

      Short version: Zovtrix does not collect, store, or share any personal information. All data generated by your use of the app stays on your device. We do not run ads, analytics, or tracking of any kind.
    

1. Who We Are

Zovtrix is an Android application developed and maintained by Jorge Oviedo, an independent developer. If you have any questions about this policy, you can reach us at support@zovtrix.com.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

Your name, email address, or any account credentials
Your precise or approximate location history
The stores you search for or visit
Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or fingerprints
Usage statistics or analytics
Crash reports sent to our servers

3. Location Permission

Zovtrix requests access to your device's location only while the app is in use. Location data is used exclusively to:

Center the map on your current position
Search for nearby stores of the chain you specify
Calculate optimized routes to those stores

Your location is never sent to Jorge Oviedo's servers and is never stored beyond the current app session. It is only used locally on your device and shared with the third-party map services described in Section 5.

4. Data Stored on Your Device

Zovtrix stores the following data locally on your device only, using Android's local database (Room):

Stores you have marked as "visited" (name, coordinates)

This data never leaves your device. You can delete it at any time using the Clear Visited button in the app, or by uninstalling the app.

5. Third-Party Services

To display maps and calculate routes, Zovtrix uses the following open-source, free services. These services may receive your IP address and approximate location as part of normal network requests:

OpenStreetMap

Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap's servers. OpenStreetMap is a non-profit, community-maintained project. See their privacy policy at osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.

Overpass API

Store location data is queried from the Overpass API, a read-only mirror of OpenStreetMap data. No personal data is included in these queries.

OSRM

Route calculations are performed by the OSRM (Open Source Routing Machine) public API. Waypoint coordinates are sent to compute the route. See their information at project-osrm.org.

Jorge Oviedo has no control over data practices of these third-party services and is not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

6. Advertising

Zovtrix contains no advertisements and does not integrate any advertising SDKs. We do not share any data with advertising networks.

7. Children's Privacy

Zovtrix does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. Since we collect no personal information from any user, no special measures are required. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our app, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through an app update. Your continued use of Zovtrix after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
